Collectors are available in all stripes, consumers that  genuinely have a very love for which they may be  collecting, people who just love the chase of with the ability to complete a collection, and people that hope their investment will 1 day be worthwhile.  One doesn’t have to be  among the many  uncounted players of World of Warcraft to collect its toys.  The younger players though, or the young in mind, often have a hard time resisting the urge taking  the warcraft action figures with their box.  The slightly older players may also  find the  warcraft action figures reminiscent of He-Man figures sold during the 80’s.

There are four main companies that started manufacturing warcraft figures since Warcraft 2.  They are Blizzard Entertainment, Toycom, Visionary (SOTA), and DC Direct (of DC Comics).  From they then, DC Direct has made the biggest line of figures, 25 figures including state of the art action figures, through 2009.

Blizzard, the company behind World of Warcraft, or WoW has only released five miniatures.  They’re Human Footman, Orc Grunt, Malfurion Stormrage, Muradin Bronzebeard, and Thrall.

Toycom has made 6 miniatures all from Warcraft III.  SOTA produced only 3 figures which can be: Tauren Shaman, Undead Warlock, and Jungle Troll Voodoo Priest.

DC Direct released its first group of warcraft action figures in 2007.  This first series was comprised of Meryl Felstorm: Undead Warrior, Rehgar Earthfury: Orc Shaman, Valeera Sanguinar: Blood Elf Rogue, and a deluxe figure, Illidan Stormrage: Night Elf Demon Hunter. DC has released five series through the end of 2009.

As Steve Carell’s character, Andy, proved in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, developing a mint toy collection can be a nice investment.  Those unfamiliar with WoW, but searching for the next “hot” collectible, might want to consider these wow action figures because WoW is a Guinness World Record holding massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), holding the record for most subscribers, over 11 million.  With increasingly more followers worldwide it’s likely a market will exist later on for the people collectors who could actually purchase the warcraft action figures now and store them.  And unlike the He-Man figures these WoW action figures will not be currently being produced in higher quantities and sold in retail outlets.
